A Clinical Implementation Team should offer a carefully structured week of onsite and immersive clinical training, education and support for all new clinical team members. As clinicians themselves, their expertise and direct experience are incredibly valuable in answering relevant clinical questions, providing guidance and acting as a buffer for any issues that arise to ensure new clinicians feel encouraged as they settle into their new roles.
The team initiates patient scenarios, clinical application, partnering and technical training during the first two days onsite in preparation for the health center’s opening. The health center goes live on the third day, and the team remains in place as a backbone and support system for any issues that may arise during a clinician’s daily workflow. After a final day onsite, the team transitions to support the staff virtually by connecting with clinicians on strategic touchpoints and follow-up around key milestones for 30-60-90 days.
